Virtually destroyed by a fire in 2006, this church, originally a synagogue, was designed by Louis Sullivan and Dankmar Adler in the 1880's and constructed in the 1890's. The design effort involves reconstruction of this historic architectural landmark. The master plan with new buildings organized around a new courtyard on the east side of the historic church, includes a cultural center with a banquet hall for up to 500 people, classrooms, and a community services building.
