Lewis Greenspoon Architects designed a new kitchen and family room within this home, opening up the two spaces by relocating a half-bath which was formerly between them.  This narrow space is divided with a new bar for informal eating, made of ipe wood.  The peninsula terminates with an internally-lit block of onyx.  The wall separating the kitchen and formal dining room was also removed.  The new dining room cabinets incorporate the owner's stained-glass panels within the doors.
